Well....hmm!

Well this week...I entered total FREAK OUT mode! So I took all the Clomid pills and Keith and I have been doing the baby dance and then I talked to my friend Paige (and Paige this is totally not your fault) about how I was doing. While on the phone talking about my new Clomid regimen, she mentioned that she thought that a friend from Harding was on that and had Quads. I said no way...I asked my doc while at his office getting on Clomid about multiples and he said it was like a super super slim chance for even twins...(I told this to Paige full of confidence..by the way!) As soon as I got a chance I decided to check out this Quad family and read her blog to see what had actually happened...ENTER- FREAK OUT MOMENT!!! Yep...Clomid...same milligrams and everything...WHAT..now I am going to have FOUR babies at one time! I did not handle this very well. It was tooo late...I had already taken the pills, pretty sure I already ovulated, and we had already done our "trying"...I could have four babies in there right now...FREAK OUT!!!!!!

Once calmed down...I decided to do some research of my own. There is a chance of multiples. During clinical trials for Clomid, about 7% of pregnancies led to twins, about 0.5% of pregnancies led to triplets and 0.3% to quadruplets.

Well...there you go.

I am not freaking out anymore. I decided that If GOD wants me to have 4 babies..i guess we will have four babies. I also decided to change my prayer from wanting to get pregnant to please make it only one or two. hehe!

In all actuality...It really is going to be fine! If I have one, two, three, or four...they will be loved, cared for, and be a huge blessing!

Just thought I would share...

A few of years ago...I was in charge of the decorations for a baby shower for one of my bunco babes. I of course was gung-ho about this!!!! I made all sorts of cute things but the thing I am most proud of was the diaper cake. I wanted to make one and being somewhat crafty I decided...I can so totally do this! I looked online and found a few that I liked and combined them together and Viola an adorable diaper cake. Over the years they have gotten bigger and some more elaborate than others but still...one of my favorite things. I thought I would share with you guys out there and let you see the ones I have made...so here they are in order

Number 1

I made one for my dear friend Jessica, which had live flowers, shortly after the first cake but don't have pictures of it...so if you read this and have a pic of that cake..please email it to me :)

I also made two diaper cakes for an auction at Church..but I can't find pictures of either one. I made one for a boy and one for a girl..the girl cake was fought over so I made this next one for the loser of the auction.

This is actually...Number 5:

Number 6

Number 7

Number 8 (I made a little box for this one to fit in as well..it is much smaller because this is the second cake for my friend Jessica..for her third baby)

Number 9

Number 10

I feel like I have done waaaayyy more than just ten..so maybe I haven't taken pictures of every single one like I thought. So there you go!

Update!

Well I haven't posted in a long time about my body and there was a good reason. Nothing was happening. Everything was the same. Except for both Keith and I are pretty down in the dumps. For a while every news we got was bad news and who wants to share that...I get tired of just wah, wah, wah!

Thursday was day 57 of my cycle and I was almost out of weight loss pills so I decided to make another appointment with my Doc to get some more. On the way home from work I picked up my meds that will make me start my period...getting ready to start taking it on day 60 (Sunday, Valentine's Day) I got home and I told Keith I had made an appointment to see the Doc and that there was a chance that he was going to want to start with our next phase of treatment. (I was supposed to see if I could start on my own for 3 months, if that didn't work to start back on Birth Control pills for three months and go from there) I asked Keith if that topic came up what would he want us to do. The look of complete despair and utter disappointment swept across his face when he realized what I was saying. Baby on hold! ...Neither one of us made a decision about what we were going to do when Doc brought it up. I cried a little and we sat in silence. Our only prayer for the past two months was for me to just start on my own. As we sat there we both realized that this was yet again another unanswered prayer....Disappointment and frustration yet again filled our minds. We went to bed.

I never sleep well and this night was no exception. I tossed and turned and never got comfortable.

Keith got up and went to work and left me resting in the bed. I finally got up to start on my day and to get to the docs office. I went to the bathroom...tears immediately fell from my eyes...I had started! I prayed..Dear God please let this be true and not some cruel joke... Praise be to God! It is true. It still is going on and I just can't believe it. I for the first time in a long long time was "soul"fully Happy. I went to the doctor...I had lost 20 pounds..go me! and I told him my story from the night before to that morning...he of course wasn't near as excited as I was...but of course he is a guy and he does this all day long. We talked about what our next step was going to be. After a lot of talking and explaining...I'm sure he was like...Courtney-make a decision already!...but he seemed patient enough on the outside. We decided to give Clomid a try. For those of you that don't know...this is a fertility drug...but it basically makes you ovulate in a proper manner and not who knows when...day 46 or something...instead it is supposed to make you ovulate on day 14 like normal people. I am to start taking the pills on day 3 of my cycle and take it for 5 days...I can only do this for 3 months at a time so for the next three months...pray pray pray!!!

I will try to keep you posted on how this all is going but I have heard that it can possibly make you moody so we will see.

Keith and I are thrilled. On Thursday night we felt forgotten by God and on Friday we were lifting HIM up in Holy Praise!

Thanks to all that have been praying for us...please continue...this is just a tiny step in a long journey.

That is all for now.

Thank you, Dear God, Thank you for remembering us even when we felt far from your presence. You are an Awesome God full of wisdom and power.

Amen

Hot Springs...here we come!!

Last Weekend, My college girlfriends and I (Paige Tenery Varner, Stacey Black Stewart, Courtney Phillips Smith, and Becky Madewell Beasley) met in Hot Springs to have a fun and relaxing weekend. We had a blast! Our First night we went to the Fisherman's Wharf to eat dinner. On Saturday we went to a spa and had massages, manicures, and pedicures. We also went Downtown to see the old Bathhouses and to do some shopping. While we were trying to find a bathroom and a place to warm up we stumbled across a Bathhouse museum. Becky and I enjoyed this more than the others but we were definitely creeped out by the "Horror Movie" feel of the place. That night we went to eat at J's Italian Villa Restaurant, ate some ice cream, saw a chic flick (When in Rome),and stayed up toooo late enjoying each others company. Overall a great trip. Thanks Paige for setting it all up and thanks Becky for the pictures..I stole them from your blog..hehe.

When We all Get to Heaven!

When We All Get to Heaven...What a day of REJOICING That Will Be!

This is the most wonderful picture of my Grandparents, I just love it. I wanted to share it with you!

My Grandparents are both gone now. Most of you know that my Paw Paw died on January 10th to be with my Maw Maw once again. I love them both very much and will truly miss them. But... When we all get to Heaven we will be together again!

1. Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.
* Refrain:
When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!
2. While we walk the pilgrim pathway,
Clouds will overspread the sky;
But when trav’ling days are over,
Not a shadow, not a sigh.
3. Let us then be true and faithful,
Trusting, serving every day;
Just one glimpse of Him in glory
Will the toils of life repay.
4. Onward to the prize before us!
Soon His beauty we’ll behold;
Soon the pearly gates will open;
We shall tread the streets of gold.

Just thought I would share this song with you!

What a day of Rejoicing that will be!!!

Christmas with the FAM!

We had a long Christmas adventure. On Christmas Eve we went over to the the Reasons' house at around 4:00 and watched TV, ate Chili and cornbread, and waited for the right time to open presents. It was very hard for Seth to wait. He really wanted to dive in! The post before was on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning Keith and I drove from Oakland to the Reasons' house again to open all of our presents. That afternoon we drove out to Germantown to have Christmas with Lynn's mom, dad, brother, and his children. We had our Christmas feast at their house and it was good! We had a great time at the Reason Family Christmas! We went back to work for three days and on Wednesday we drove to my parents house in Arkansas to have our "Christmas" on New Years. My brother, Jason, his wife, Karla, and their precious little girl, Kaila met us up there and we all had a delightful time hanging out together. My dad was able to bring my Paw Paw over for some meals along with being able to open up his Christmas presents. We decided to let Kaila and Paw Paw open their presents at the same time and the rest of us would wait till later on in the evening since we would have to be staying up so late for the New Year! Kaila had a blast opening up her presents and she just couldn't resist helping Paw Paw open his. Over all Christmas was GREAT!!! and I was so happy to be able to spend so much time with my family! Here are some pictures of both the Reasons and Craddock family Christmas'....ENJOY! oh yeah and the day that Keith and I were to return to Oakland/Memphis we woke up with like 4 inches of snow everywhere...we were able to leave and had no trouble getting home!
I apparently only got two pictures of the Reasons' Christmas morning...Lynn got a new shower cap and Lauren with Penny!
